With the introduction of Internet Explorer 5.5, Microsoft finally provided a way to develop custom print and print-preview templates using their DHTML/Print Behaviors technologies.

Unfortunately, these technologies are out of the reach of application developers as they require additional binary component to be installed in the end-user browsers to enable custom print templates in your HTML file. Due to security concerns, this component is not available from Microsoft.
